The day on your own is simple if you book one thing in advance: the Aiguille du Midi time slot. The reservation is free and mandatory, and it sets the rest of the day.

  2. 2Bus from Geneva FlixBus or BlaBlaCar Bus, at least four a day, 1 h 25 min, from €12 each way. Stops at Chamonix Sud and Chamonix Centre. The route crosses into France: take a passport or ID card.
  3. 3To the cable car From Chamonix Sud take line V2 or the Le Mulet town shuttle to the "Jean Franco" stop, by the Aiguille du Midi station.
  4. 4Up to 3,842 m About 20 minutes in two sections. The operator puts the whole visit at 2 to 3 hours, and up to double at peak times.
