Everything was the same like in description. Nice guide, Chris, nice trips with cable car and train. A little small things to improve. The activity start at 8.30 but they ask to be there with 30 min before which is excesive. Nobody came until 8.20 so, 15 min before should be ok.

Chamonix Day Trip with Cable Car and Train from Geneva FAQ

The first sentence of every answer is the answer.

Yes, if you want both lifts without adding tickets yourself. For €215 per person you get the bus, the Aiguille du Midi cable car to 3,842 m and the Montenvers train to the Mer de Glace. The tour scores 4.7 from 1,137 reviews, with 4.8 for transport. Value for money is 4.5, and the price buys little in the 2 Nov–19 Dec 2026 cable car closure. Check dates on the live calendar.

Yes. The single €215 per person option includes the Aiguille du Midi cable car and the train to the Mer de Glace glacier, plus transport from Geneva and city maps. Lunch is not included. The ice caves at the glacier are a bonus "if open", with no guarantee and no partial refund when closed. Book the all-lifts day on the live calendar.

The listing says no: a guide is marked as not included, and the description calls the day self-guided with maps. Yet the guide sub-rating is 4.8, and reviewers name guides such as Tony and Chris. Treat a guide as likely but not promised. If you want a guide written into the price, the sky-glass bus trip lists a guided tour for €227 per person.

You get an alternative activity, not a refund. The tour runs every day regardless of weather, and the operator cannot guarantee the cable car or the train. If an activity is not operating, transport is not refunded either. The Aiguille du Midi is closed for maintenance 2 Nov–19 Dec 2026, with alternatives offered. For a cheaper day in that window, the full-day coach trip starts at €84 per person.

The tour starts at the supplier's office, 8 rue François Bonivard, Geneva. The listing does not give a fixed start time for every date. One reviewer reports an 8:30 start with a request to arrive 30 minutes early. Bring a passport, because the bus crosses into France, and wear comfortable clothes. Confirm the exact time for your date on the live calendar.

The day lasts 10 hours. The bus ride from Geneva to Chamonix takes 90 minutes each way, so you get roughly 7 hours in the mountains and the village. The cable car comes first in the morning, the glacier train comes in the afternoon, and free time sits between them. Plan for lunch on your own in Chamonix. Pick a date on the live calendar.

Only if they are open, and entry is not guaranteed. The listing says a cave visit is not promised even when the train runs, with no partial refund if the caves are closed. The ice cave is closed 28 Sep–18 Dec 2026. If the ice cave is the reason you travel, read the Mont Blanc glacier tour guide for other ways to reach the ice.

The listing marks the tour as not suitable for pregnant women. Pets are not allowed, except assistance dogs, and the partner does not provide clothing for children. Everyone else needs a passport and comfortable clothes for a day that reaches 3,842 m. If the altitude is the concern, a valley day keeps you at 1,035 m: the full-day coach trip starts at €84 per person.

Book it for €215 per person if you want both lifts in one ticket and travel outside the 2 Nov–19 Dec 2026 closure.
