“
It was an great trip. Seeing Mont Blanc was amazing. We also did the additional train/glacier element. Although the trip is expensive, alot of this is because of the cable car cost. The trip was well organised generally but we spent alot of time standing around waiting in between activities and then the actual time for the activities felt rushed.

Antoine (Tony) was hands down the best tour guide, perfect mix of organized, knowledgeable, friendly while allowing us to have personal down time throughout the day to explore and modify the excursion based on our needs! I would highly highly recommend this!!!

Chamonix Sky-Glass Bus Trip from Geneva FAQ

The first sentence of every answer is the answer.

It is a good tour, but not the best value at its price. For €227 per person you get a guide, the Aiguille du Midi cable car, the Mer de Glace train and free time, rated 4.6 from 444 reviews. Value for money scores 4.2, and one 4-star reviewer mentions waiting between activities. The same €227 buys the ice cave guided day, rated 4.9.

Yes. The single €227 per person option includes tickets for the Aiguille du Midi cable car and the Mer de Glace train, plus the bus, a guided tour and free time in Chamonix. Only lunch and drinks are extra. The tickets come as a Compagnie du Mont-Blanc multipass, which is not refunded once one activity is used. Book on the live calendar.

The tour replaces it with an alternative cable car or activity, according to the listing. The Aiguille du Midi is closed 2 Nov–19 Dec 2026. The Compagnie du Mont-Blanc offers alternative activities but does not refund the multipass. If you travel in the closure window, a valley day on the full-day coach trip costs from €84 per person.

You meet at the excursion sign at Geneva Bus Station. The operator's office is across the street at Rue François Bonivard 8, and the bus shows the tour name and the Swisstours brand. Bring your passport, because the trip crosses into France. Comfortable shoes and warm clothing are also on the listing's packing list. Check the departure time for your date on the live calendar.

Children aged 4 and older can take the trip with the cable car. The listing says children under 4, pregnant women and people with heart problems may not ride the cable car, and marks the tour as not suitable for them. A family with a toddler is better off with a valley day. The full-day coach trip starts at €84 per person and needs no lifts.

The trip lasts 10 hours from Geneva. It includes the drive through the Arve Valley, the Aiguille du Midi, the Montenvers train to the Mer de Glace and free time in Chamonix. Reviewers describe it as a long day but worth it. Lunch is not included, so plan a meal during free time. Pick your date on the live calendar.

Yes. A guided tour is listed as included, and the option names an English-speaking host or greeter. The guide scores 4.6 out of 5, and reviewers name guides such as Tony, Chris and Babis. One 4-star review still mentions waiting between activities. For the top guide score among Geneva day trips, the ice cave guided day rates 5.0.

Bring a passport, comfortable shoes and warm clothing, as the listing asks. The passport is required to join, because the route crosses into France. Warm clothing matters at the 3,842 m Aiguille du Midi. Pets and smoking in the vehicle are not allowed. Lunch and drinks are not included. Reserve your seat on the live calendar.

Book it for €227 per person if you want every ticket and a guide in one price, and the better-rated rival is full on your date.
