Val Veny, the harder valley
Val Veny is narrow and rugged, says the listing: a ride through larch and fir forest under steep rock walls, ending at Rifugio Elisabetta, the hut where Tour du Mont Blanc walkers stop before their 18 km stage down to Courmayeur. Val Ferret, the easy valley

A September 2026 reviewer, a total beginner, says the guide showed them everything with care — and beginners are who the listing sends to this valley. If your group is mixed, it is the safer choice.
