The Pavillon at 2,173 m
The middle station is more than a change of cabin. The ticket includes the Hangar 2173 museum, the exhibition on Paul Helbronner and the sun terrace, and the Alpine Restaurant is there for lunch at your own cost. The Mont Blanc Infinity Room is paid on the spot. The Milan day trip’s listing adds the Saussurea botanic garden, one of the highest in Europe, and the Cave Mont Blanc, an experimental high-altitude winery.
Punta Helbronner at 3,466 m
The top station looks across the whole Mont Blanc massif; the Milan listing promises a 360° view of the Italian, Swiss and French Alps and, on a clear day, the Matterhorn. The Bistrot Panoramic serves food and drink. One September 2026 reviewer sat at a window and watched climbers setting off on their routes and coming back from them.
Helbronner is also where the Panoramic Mont-Blanc gondola crosses to the French side. The Compagnie du Mont-Blanc sells the leg from the Aiguille du Midi to Helbronner for €42.50, only at the summit, and a Chamonix – Helbronner adult return for €125.50. None of that is on this ticket; check the gondola runs on your date.
The cabins
The Skyway opened on 23 June 2015. Its cabins hold 80 people and turn a full 360° as they climb, four minutes to the Pavillon and seven more to the top, so the view comes round to every side of the cabin. A July 2026 reviewer calls the rotating cabin a very good idea.
What reviewers mention
The September 2026 reviews are practical: parking and the departure point are easy to find, the tickets work straight from the phone, the opening hours are long, and you can move between the first and second sections as you like. One reviewer praises the lunch and the staff. Transport scores 4.9 and value for money 4.6, the gap being food and the Infinity Room, which are extra.
