Where the €139 goes
The price covers the air-conditioned coach both ways, a professional tour leader and the Monte Bianco Skyway tickets. The Skyway return alone is €59 on our partner, and €59–63 online or €64–68 at the desk from the Skyway itself, so the coach and the leader come to about €80 of the €139. Food, drinks and tips are extra; the listing calls the tips optional. Reviewers rate value for money 4.3, the weakest of the three sub-ratings.
The Mont-Frety Pavilion on the way up
The first stop is the Pavilion at 2,173 m. The listing points to the Saussurea botanic garden, one of the highest in Europe, with rare alpine plants from mountain areas around the world; the Cave Mont Blanc and its experimental high-altitude winery; and the Bellevue restaurant, where Aosta Valley polenta and meat share the menu with international dishes. Lunch there is at your own cost.
Punta Helbronner, then Courmayeur
In the afternoon the last section of the Skyway, in cabins that turn as they climb, reaches Punta Helbronner at 3,466 m, with its 360° terraces over the Italian, Swiss and French Alps and, on a clear day, the Matterhorn. You then regroup with the guide, ride down and have time in the centre of Courmayeur for the shops, a drink on a terrace at your own expense, and the chalets. A 2023 reviewer found plenty of time for the terraces and the restaurants with traditional food.
What reviewers mention
The guide and the transport both score 4.9 across 30 reviews, but the quotes show the guide varies. A 2023 reviewer describes a driver who reached Courmayeur in three and a half hours and a guide who talked about the history, geography and culture of each region on the way and ran the ascent smoothly. A January 2024 reviewer had a guide who only gave meeting points and times, and another asked for better organisation at the start.
The two most recent reviews, from August 2026, both give five stars, one from a first-time visitor.
